I've been wearing a leather ITW holster to lug around my S&W SW-99. For the past month I haven't even been carrying my gun because I'm sick of it pulling my pants down. I can't wear a t-shirt with it either. I definitely know I'm carrying when I wear it. Now as far as the Defender goes, the minute I put it on and added my gun and extra clip to it, I knew I loved it. It really does make the gun feel weightless. My girlfriend even said she couldn't tell I was carrying.
I have to admit that I was very skeptical about buying the Defender. I had to buy a different holster that I could wear without a belt and with just shorts and a t-shirt. I had the choices of the Defender, Smartcarry, and the Pagerpal. I ruled out the Pagerpal because I believed it would still pull down on my pants and I might still have to wear a belt. I Chose the Defender over the Smartcarry because I couldn't picture carrying a large .40 caliber handgun stuck in between my legs. Sitting down might make it dig into my stomach or thigh. It was also too expensive for what it was. I like the idea that the Defender could carry the gun above or below the belt and I can place the gun anywhere around my waist. It's even comfortable while driving. I really do forget I'm carrying a larger sized handgun. The true test will be to see how long it lasts. I hope you continue to carry the Defender because I'm sure this is the last holster I will have to buy. Thank you for such a great product!."
